How to set up an online poll

There are tools that enable creating online polls for free and I personally use Swift Polling. It has several interesting features like letting your audience vote either via text messages or online. You share with them the poll link or the given phone number to which they send their votes.
This tool is very intuitive and easy to use. It enables creating open ended and multiple choice questions. And the results are displayed on your screen via pie charts and graphs. One important feature that Swift offers is that the results are displayed in real time. This means that with each vote, the results change automatically and immediately, so you don’t have to wait for them to be calculated.
Depending on the question type, you will see the results either both on your screen on your phone, or only on the screen. Using the feature “Presentation Mode” you can also choose to show the answers of open ended questions or to hide them. If you click on the stars next to each response, they will be shown on the screen. You can also archive and delete the responses.
Swift offers several other useful features too:
  • You can embed the polls into PowerPoint
  • You can link several polls to each other and create a survey
  • You can use Swift for free for the first 50 responses
To start creating the polls you need to sign up by filling in only your name and the email address. After the sign up, you have to choose a phone number and get started.
