Using the Mobile App

   Open Facebook. It’s the blue icon with a white “F” on your home screen (iPhone/iPad) or in the app drawer (Android).

   Sign in to your account. If you’re not already signed in, enter your username and password into the blanks and tap Log In.

   • Android: Scroll down and tap Account Settings under the “Help & Settings” header.
   • iPhone/iPad: Scroll down and tap Settings, then tap Account Settings.

   Tap Blocking.

   Type the person’s name or email address. You’ll do this in the box that appears next to the “Block” button.

   Tap Block. If you typed a person’s name, you’ll now see a list of Facebook users who match what you’ve typed. If you entered an email address, you’ll only see the person who uses that address.

   Tap Block next to the person you want to block. If there are many people in the search results, you may have to scroll down to find the right person.

   Tap Block again to confirm. Once you confirm this action, the person you’re blocking will no longer be able to see or contact you on Facebook.

   Visit https://www.facebook.com in a web browser.

   Sign in to Facebook. If you’re not yet signed in, enter your Facebook username and password into the blanks at the top right corner of the screen and click Log In.

   Click the downward-facing triangle. It’s small, white, and at the top right corner of Facebook.

   Click Blocking. It’s on the left side of the screen.

   Enter the name or email address of the person you want to block.Type it into the box labeled “Block Users” near the center of the screen.

   Click Block. A new window will open, displaying all Facebook users who match your search.
