Turn On Location Services

Want to know where the closest gas station is? Location settings let you choose how your phone determines your location.

1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  
2. Touch Search, then search for and select Location.    
3. To turn on Location, swipe to and touch the slider next to Location.       

   

Manage Accuracy Level

You can select the accuracy level of your device's locating method.

1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  
2. Touch Search, then search for and select Location.   
3. Touch Locating method.  

   
4. Choose the preferred location method option.  

   

Turn On Location History

To use this feature, a Google account is required.

Location History helps you get useful information like automatic commute predictions, improved search results, and more useful ads on and off Google. So you can quickly check the traffic on your morning route before you even get in the car.

To turn location history on:

1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  
2. Touch Search, then search for and select Location.   
3. Touch Google Location History.  

   
4. To turn on Location History, touch the slider.
